Recovery after a procedure
The suite receives patients following day-case procedures across the Institute for as long as recovery requires. You are attended by the nurse throughout, reviewed by your consultant before you leave, and given support for the days that follow. Transport home can be arranged through the patient transport service where the treatment or the hour makes it appropriate.
The light chamber
Some of the most effective recovery treatments ask nothing of you at all. Reclining within the Ammortal Chamber, one of the most established systems combining these modalities in a single session, you are enveloped by therapeutic light, sound and low-frequency vibration. Red and near-infrared wavelengths are delivered to the skin and underlying tissue to support cellular repair and circulation, while low-frequency vibroacoustic sound moves through the body to calm the nervous system and ease physical tension. Sessions are entirely passive: simply a considered combination of technologies designed to leave you calmer, more restored and better recovered than when you arrived.
Regenerative therapies
· Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Sessions of an hour in a chamber built for two, breathing at increased atmospheric pressure. Every member is screened before the first session, and a partner, friend or fellow member may attend alongside you, should you prefer to share the session.
· Intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training. Alternating oxygen-reduced and oxygen-enriched air, delivered through a mask on Cellgym’s CellAir system while you sit at rest. No exertion is required, and it is given during the monthly infusion for that reason.
· Blood therapies: Extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation (EBOO) and plasma exchange. Delivered by a clinician in a private treatment room within the suite, always following a full consultation. Plasma exchange runs over two to three hours on the Terumo Spectra Optia. EBOO is a closed-loop session of around forty-five minutes.
· Infusion. Formulated personally and discussed with you in advance, then administered in a private room. There is no shared treatment area for this therapy, in keeping with the discretion the rest of your care is built around. The infusion can contain electrolytes, vitamin C, the B-complex vitamins including B12, magnesium, zinc, calcium, glutathione, NAD+, amino acids, selenium, copper, chromium, alpha-lipoic acid and carnitine, combined and dosed according to your needs.
