Accessibility
This website is a preview of a clinic in development. No services are currently offered and no appointments are available. This statement describes the arrangements that apply to this website and, when the clinic opens, to the building.
This statement explains what we have done to make this website and this building usable by everyone, how to tell us when something is not, and what you may ask us to arrange for your visit.
If you would prefer to discuss any of this rather than read it, please ask and we will go through it with you.
1. Our commitment
1.1
We want this website and this building to be usable by everyone, including people using a screen reader, magnification, speech recognition, or a keyboard alone.
2. This website
2.1
If something on this site is not usable for you, please tell us at velmontinstitute@gmail.com and describe what you were trying to do. We will respond within five working days and will provide the information you were after in another format — by telephone, by email, in large print, or in person.
3. The building and your appointment
3.1
The clinic is fully accessible. It is step-free from the street, with an accessible lavatory and lift access to all clinical floors.
3.2
Please tell us in advance of anything that would make your visit easier, and we will arrange it. There is no charge for any of this.
a longer appointment
a British Sign Language interpreter
an interpreter in another language
written information in large print or easy read
a quiet space to wait
a ground-floor room
a companion or assistance dog with you throughout
3.3
Under the Equality Act 2010 we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments, and we would rather make them well in advance than improvise on the day.
4. Reporting a problem
4.1
Tell us at velmontinstitute@gmail.com, by telephone, or in writing to Velmont Institute, 121 Crawford Street, London W1U 6BE. Please describe what you were trying to do and what happened, and we will respond within five working days.
4.2
If you are not satisfied with our response, our Complaints Procedure applies, and raising a concern will not affect your care.
Questions about this policy may be sent to velmontinstitute@gmail.com, or in writing to Velmont Institute, 121 Crawford Street, London W1U 6BE.
